The winter registration period for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification testing is now open. Automotive professionals who register by the March 31 deadline will have 90 days to schedule an appointment for their selected exams.

To register, users can create or sign in to a myASE account at myASE.com. Once logged in, they can select “orders,” then “store,” choose the tests they want to take, add them to their cart, and complete checkout.

Testing Options Available

ASE offers three certification and recertification testing formats:

  • In-Person Testing: All exams are available at more than 450  U.S. proctored Prometric test centers, with appointments offered year-round on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

  • ProProctor Remote Testing: This online option allows people to take ASE recertification tests remotely. The auto maintenance and light repair (G1) initial certification exam is also available through this format.

  • ASE Renewal App: Automotive professionals certified in the automobile series (A1–A9) can use the renewal application to complete recertification through a mobile device. Those with expired A-series certifications may still use the app, but the process requires at least eight months to regain certification.

ASE also provides free study guides with test overviews, sample questions and preparation tips to help candidates assess readiness.

For more information, registrants can contact ASE customer service at 800-390-6789.
